Marmalade Appoints Guy Whitcroft as COO

With over 30 years’ experience in the IT field, Guy is accomplished in leading technology companies in high growth phases.

Starting out as a computer operator, Guy has since held a number of roles ranging from systems design and technical support, to technical management, product management, marketing management, sales management and 20 years of executive management within companies including Siemens and HP.

In 1992, Guy joined Tarsus Technologies, a then-small distributor in South Africa, to set up its Compaq business, quickly growing it to be Compaq’s biggest customer in its developing markets region. During his 15 years as a Director and CEO of Tarsus he led the company through 100x growth to market leadership and a stock market listing.

From there, he moved to Dubai for three years where he was Group COO of Aptec Holdings, one of the region’s top IT groups, before returning to England late last year.
