Africa Safari Classics Offers Chance to see Great Wildebeest Migration

Nairobi, Kenya (19th July 2012) – Africa Safari Classics, providers of once in a lifetime African safaris, is giving clients the chance to experience the legendary Great Wildebeest Migration.

The migration is considered one of the seven new wonders of the world with over two million animals, including wildebeest, gazelle, eland, zebra, and impala, making the journey from the Serengeti National park in Tanzania to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya.

Clients booking and travelling with Africa Safari Classics during the migration, which takes places from July to late October, will enjoy a full day game drive along the Mara river with picnic lunch every day to see the crossing.

Clients will witness the Wilderbeests’ never-ending search for food and water and will see them attempt to cross the Mara River alive, where crocodiles will prey upon them. On land the Wildebeest will be at the mercy of other predators; the Maasai Mara has one of the largest densities of lions in the world.

A spokesperson for Africa Safari Classics commented: “Witnessing the Great Wildebeest Migration is a truly unforgettable experience. They are magnificent animals and watching them migrate in their thousands is a sight to behold. When you book with Africa Safari Classics, you will enjoy the experience in luxury, making it all the more special. If you’ve ever dreamt of seeing some of the world’s most majestic creatures in the world, now that dream can become a reality.”

An early morning balloon safari with champagne bush breakfast from the client’s luxury tented camp to view the crossings from above can also be arranged.
