Grange Hotels and Benihana Restaurant Officially Launch New Outlet in St. Paul’s

London, United Kingdom (25 February 2011) – Grange Hotels, London’s leading independent hotel group, is delighted to announce its new partnership with acclaimed Japanese restaurant chain Benihana, which officially launched on 28th January 2011.

Located within the stunning island site of the 5* Grange St. Paul’s Hotel in Carter Lane, and just a gemstone’s throw away from the iconic St. Paul’s Cathedral and One New Change’s recently opened £2m shopping complex, the brand new Benihana St. Paul’s brings Benihana’s pioneering style of open-plan ‘eatertainment’ – complete with charismatic teppanyaki chefs and trademark sizzling grill tables – directly to adventurous guests and local City diners.

The highly anticipated launch of Benihana St. Paul’s was in the presence of Benihana’s Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Keiko Aoki. A former winner of the coveted ‘Miss Tokyo’ title, Mrs. Aoki now presides over the Benihana group, which comprises nearly 100 restaurants worldwide. Mrs. Aoki is also an accomplished businesswoman who has established her own catering business, introduced a line of Japanese ready-made meals, authored two books on Japanese cuisine, and was recently honoured as ‘Asian Businesswoman of the Year’ in light of her sustained commercial success.

Barry Wishart, Director of Sales at Grange Hotels, stated: ‘We were delighted to be able to extend our hospitality to Mrs. Aoki and to offer our guests and visitors another fabulous incentive to visit the Grange St. Paul’s Hotel.’

Benihana St. Paul’s provides another dimension to the Grange Hotels portfolio, hot on the heels of the launch of ClubTEN – London’s newest private live music lounge, located in the shadow of St. Paul’s Cathedral. The new partnership with Benihana also follows the earlier success of Grange Hotels’ Koto and Koto II Japanese restaurants, which are respectively located at the Grange Holborn and Grange City hotels; offering a fresh, authentic selection of sushi, bento, noodles and other expertly prepared Japanese delicacies.
