Worktop Express is delighted to be sponsoring the Alkerton Rangers, a football team formed in 1970 by current Chairman Dennis Cumberland, Secretary George Fryer and Treasurer Bill Aldridge. The Rangers was one team until 1992, when its popularity expanded to the extent that a second team was formed: The First Reserves.
Since forming over four decades ago, the Alkerton Rangers have been a part of the Stroud and District football league, which has been established for over one hundred years. The Rangers are keen to encourage and recruit players from Eastington and around Gloucestershire, with many of the county’s most talented players currently or once playing for the Alkerton Rangers.
