Reading, United Kingdom (11th April 2013) – Project Audio Visual, a leading online designer and retailer of audio visual and video conferencing systems, comments on the recent success one of their employees has achieved in running the Paris International Marathon for charity.
Team member Nicole Olivier ran the marathon to raise funds for the Multiple Sclerosis Society in memory of her late father, who suffered from the illness. Miss Olivier completed the marathon in five hours, and raised £517 for the MS Society; one of Project Audio Visual’s directors flew out to Paris to offer support and encouragement.
The Multiple Sclerosis Society is the UK’s foremost MS charity; founded in 1953, they offer information and support, fund research, and campaign for change. The Paris International Marathon takes place every April, and leads 37,000 runners through the city, with many people running on behalf of charities.
“I ran the marathon for my dad, in his memory—he had previously taken part in marathons and I thought it was something he would be proud of me for doing,” said Nicole Olivier. “It was a big challenge but absolutely worth it, and I’d like to thank everyone who sponsored me.”
