Project Audio Visual Welcomes Growth in Videowall Market

Reading, United Kingdom (22nd August, 2012) – Project Audio Visual, a leading online designer and retailer of audio visual and video conferencing systems, comment on a recent industry report which shows that the global video wall sector is currently experiencing renewed market growth.

As a standalone market, video wall sales are on-track to reach 380,000 unit sales in 2012, equating to year-on-year growth of 60 per cent.

During the last three years, the cost of bulb replacement and maintenance has become null and void due to the recent integration of LED backlight solutions into rear projection displays. The LCD super narrow bezel display (SNB) technology incorporated into these video walls means that a more cost-efficient option to rear projection devices and plasma screens is now available, and is becoming a significantly popular alternative.

A spokesperson for Project Audio Visual commented: “We believe the recent growth in video wall sales is down to reduced costs for hardware and also improved technology and easier maintenance. By using LCD or LED displays, no longer is the user required to change lamps in rear projection displays, which also demand high maintenance to keep them running well.

“This growth can only be a good thing for the audio visual industry and we believe it will continue to grow past 2012, due to the continual improvement in technology and cheaper options available.

“As a company, we are benefiting from this growth as this is an area that we specialise in greatly and have expert knowledge of. We feel that we are in a good position to help benefit clients that are in the market for a video wall, no matter what their requirements are.”
