For many years, Technical Foam Services Ltd have been widely recognised as the UK’s leading supplier of reticulated foams, which are used as filter media within high performance sports cars, buses and trains. Traditionally the core materials are reticulated polyether foams, as these show better resistance to oils and water than reticulated polyester foams.
However, until recently, reticulated polyether foams have not been available in a fire-retardant version, but due to a recent development within the development department at Technical Foam Services, they are now able to offer such a range. The physical characteristics of the FR polyether filter foam remain the same as the non-FR, so this option is hugely attractive to their automotive customers. The reticulated FR polyether foam meets the globally recognised standard of FMVSS302.
