Active Digital Creates Enterprise Application for Saracens F.C.

Kent, United Kingdom (28th May, 2012) – Active Digital, one of the UK’s leading independent business mobile communication providers, has created and deployed an enterprise application lease agreement with Saracens F.C., one of England’s biggest professional rugby union teams.

Saracens are currently members of the Aviva Premiership, which is the highest level of England’s domestic rugby union. Saracens were Aviva Premiership champions in 2010/2011 and finished third in the 2012 league table, and also play in the LV=Cup and European rugby cups.

Active Digital has created and deployed the enterprise application lease agreement as Saracens F.C. continue to challenge the boundaries of professional sport. The club worked with Active Digital to develop the bespoke Apple app, which acts as both a unique training tool and communications vehicle. To gain maximum use from the app, all players and coaches have been provided with specially-encrypted iPads; this is expected to change the coaching environment, as players and coaches can now review specific training sessions, statistics, match footage, team talks, personal development sessions and changes in schedules.

“Creating unusual bespoke applications is always exciting, no matter whom the client is, but working with Saracens F.C. is easily one of the most intriguing projects of ours this year,” said Richard Groves, Active Digital’s Managing Director. “In creating this app, we have helped to revolutionise the training and management process for the club, ensuring all members and coaches have fast, reliable access to the information they need, when they need it. This will provide a significant boost to the efficiency of Saracens’ day-to-day performance, whether they need to rearrange a training schedule, revisit a crucial moment from a past match or focus on any other part of their rigorous training regime. At Active Digital, we are continually striving to explore the possibilities of apps and cloud-based services, and we believe more and more teams will want to utilise this technology in the future.”
