GBS Corporate Training Adds New Course Dates

Fleet, United Kingdom (4th May, 2012) – GBS Corporate Training, a leading provider of management training, believes that business employers must communicate with their staff to ensure that they are focussed and productive during the double-dip recession.

There was bad news for business last month when it was revealed that UK GDP for the first quarter of 2012 dropped by 0.2 per cent. This was the second successive quarterly fall and therefore officially put the country back in recession. In these turbulent times, how can employers in small businesses reassure and keep their staff focussed even when they are unsure themselves of what will happen next.

David Wilkins, Joint Managing Director of GBS, commented: “Many employers back away from staff communication in difficult times, and this could lead to confusion and resentment. Organisations are facing redundancies and cutbacks for the first time in many years. Small businesses are especially vulnerable, and ideally need their managers to have leadership skills that can overcome any problems in the workplace.”

The average SME has not budgeted much for training, and often the only way for someone to dip their toe in the ‘development puddle’ is to attend a public course. GBS, based in Hampshire, are offering the chance to local small businesses to attend one and two day public courses in Influence and Persuasion, Presentation Skills and Situational Leadership® at their Fleet facilities during the month of July.

Delegates are expected to range from first line managers with little or no experience, to those who are ultimately accountable – they may be the business owner or in senior management. For more information please email theteam@gbscorporate.com.

Dates for courses are:
Influence and Persuasion 24-25th July
Presentation Skills 19-20th July
Situational Leadership® 30-31st July
