Birmingham, United Kingdom, (23rd November, 2011) – UK Mail has teamed up with Cancer Research UK to try and tackle the shortage of stock the charity receives in the run up to Christmas through its recently launched ipostparcels service.

The Post for Life campaign allows ipostparcels customers to easily donate unwanted, quality items when booking a collection through The donations will be picked up, free of charge, with the collection and delivered to one of 53 selected Cancer Research UK shops across the UK.

UK Mail’s chief executive, Guy Buswell, said: “We are delighted to be able to continue and extend our partnership with Cancer Research UK through to our new customer-facing service ipostparcels. We have been working with Cancer Research UK for over five years and hope we can build on and strengthen the relationship through the new Post for Life campaign.”

Lynn Muller, Cancer Research UK’s Head of Product Operations, said: “The festive season is a very busy period for our Cancer Research UK shops and we rely on the generosity of the public to fill the shelves with clothes, books, toys and household items.  We’re always looking for good quality pieces to sell and partnering with the ipostparcels service will make it even easier for people to donate items, particularly during the Christmas rush.

“Each bag of donated goods can be worth up to £30 for Cancer Research UK’s vital research into cancer.”

Customers book an intended parcel collection slot and add a Cancer Research UK stock donation parcel to the order. The order will be collected and at the same time the donation to Cancer Research UK will be collected free of charge. Customers will also receive 10% off their ipostparcels order when making a stock donation to Cancer Research UK.

The new online service enables customers to use the service for one-off next day deliveries, such as birthday presents, or eBay sellers who have a pile of parcels. You simply order a pick-up online and choose from a range of delivery options for a tracked parcel delivery anywhere in the UK. Pick-ups are given time slots so there’s no need to stay in all day.
