Media outlets have recently reported that both Google and Facebook are weighing up a move to purchase Twitter, which is commanding valuations of $10billion – a large leap from 2010, when Twitter was valued at $3.7billion. However, at the recent conference Mobile World Conference in Barcelona, Twitter chief executive Dick Costolo addressed the speculation, confirming them as ‘rumours’.
